We come to the throne of grace praying: Lord, "hear our prayer."
We pray for the church: the beautiful assembly of God's people, striving to love and serve. For our bishop-elect Sandra, Archdeacon Ian, and all in leadership; that all may be empowered and strengthened by your Holy Spirit. Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for the Queen, the Prime Minister, the Premier, and all in authority. We hold before you with thanksgiving all who have offered themselves for local government. That they will always work for the greater good, and govern with gentleness, discretion, and compassion, Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for the world, for crisp days and cool nights as your masterpiece reveals beauty and splendour. Inspire us to live in peace with each other and with the ecosystems that sustain us. Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for our community of Lunenburg, and for every city and town. We pray that all who feel stressed may find peace, that all who feel isolation may know friendship, that all who feel down may find your joy. We ask your blessings be felt in and through our homes, Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for those in need; for the sick and recovering; for the lonely and weary; for victims of societal ills. We recall those whose names and circumstances have touched our hearts this week. Fill them with knowledge of your love and strength to endure their earthly trials. Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for those who have died in the peace of Christ, and those whose faith is known to you alone. May they rest in peace and rise in glory; may their loved ones know the consolation of your promise of eternal life.Lord, hear our prayer.
Help us to be grateful in all things and at all times; rejoicing in the gifts of this life and helping to be a blessing to the world around us. Lord, hear our prayer.
