02 may
God of all times and all places, we come to you today from our homes. We ask your blessing on this your church: the church that misses gathering together, the church that misses our comfortable pews, the church that misses the beauty of our shared worship space.
We ask your blessing on this your church: the church that is committing to prayer and praise, the church that is protecting each other; the church that is loving your people by staying distanced.
God who is with us,
Hear our Prayer.
God of guidance and wisdom, we thank you for our leaders. We ask your blessing on all who serve in positions of authority, especially during these times of stress and strain, whether we like their decisions or not. We ask that your leadership may guide and direct their hearts and minds, so that through their governance all the world may experience peace, justice, and wholeness.
God who is with us,
Hear our Prayer.
God of interwoven connections, we pray for our community; knowing we value living as neighbours, knowing the asset of our interconnectedness.
For those whose employment is precarious; for those whose livelihoods are fragile.
For those who are missing the resilience that comes from connections.
For those who are grieving minimised social interactions.
For those who are feeling the absence of sharing knowledge and stories and inspiration.
We pray for our community, as we re-commit ourselves to reaching out; to extending grace; to supporting each other; to being kind. We remind ourselves that this temporary pause will end, and we delight in the promise of togetherness.
God who is with us,
Hear our Prayer.
God of creative wonder, you have made the entirety of the cosmos: we benefit from the delicate systems that support and sustain life. We praise you for the beauty of your creation, especially in these sunny days filled with blooms and blossoms. We recognise your presence in the warm breeze, the sea air, the scents of spring. We thank you for the trust you have placed in us as caretakers of this place. We acknowledge our responsibility in respecting all life; through our work for the environment, for the preservation of languages and cultures, for peace and justice, for equality and belonging. In all we do, may we live and love your world with the same enthusiasm and care that you do.
God who is with us,
Hear our Prayer
God of healing and wholeness, we beg your help. Accompany us as we journey alongside those in any need of body, mind, or spirit. Refresh the exhausted medical staff, renew the compassion in our caregivers, inspire the researchers and technicians, strengthen the cleaners and cooks, empower all who serve your people in their need. May those who offer outreach be offered kindness; may those who extend essential services receive grace. We hold up all who are living with illnesses including COVID; all who are waiting on test results; all who are receiving medical treatment. God, you provide true and eternal healing of the soul, help us to share comfort in this life to the discomforted.
God who is with us,
Hear our Prayer.
God of grace and glory; you ground us, encourage us, support us as we grow in faith, in wisdom, and in love. You are the firm foundation of our lives and ministries. We thank you, we praise your name, we declare your majesty. Show us the light in our lives this day, that we may recognise your presence in our midst and be grateful for all the blessings of this life.
God who is with us,
Hear our Prayer. Amen.
09 May
Holy God, lighten our hearts as you lighten the world, that the prayers we raise to you this day will bring us ever closer to your will.
We pray; Hear us Lord.
We pray for the church, asking your blessing on our Primate Linda and Bishop Sandra, and all who serve in your holy name. May your church reflect your saving grace, may our worship be a fountain of blessing, may our ministries be an abundance of compassion and care.
We pray; Hear us Lord.
We pray for the Queen and all in authority; for our elected officials; for their families and friends; and for all whom they govern. May their leadership be based in wisdom, equity, and peace, to bring us to unity and safety, and for the benefit of all your creation.
We pray; Hear us Lord.
We pray for our community, that we embrace our interconnectedness in business and leisure; we celebrate how we relate and depend on one another. Encourage us to live into these relationships with love and respect. Pour your blessings on us all, as we remain distanced for the good of our togetherness.
We pray; Hear us Lord.
We pray for those experiencing need in any kind, recognising these needs are amplified during our pandemic times. We pray for the people and places who do not have the luxury of space for isolation, or financial stability to take time off work. Help us be conscious and kind to those whose employment requires exposure, whose food supply is scarce, whose isolation is leading to loneliness.
We pray; Hear us Lord.
We pray for those who are sick in mind, body, and spirit: ease the distress of our anxiety, relieve the dis-ease of our bodies, soothe our moments of doubt and distrust. May we, with word and careful action, show our support for the medical system which supports us all. We ask your blessing on all who are involved in treatment, research, caregiving, and support.
We pray; Hear us Lord.
We ask your blessing for this time of COVID – may we use this time of uncertainty to ground ourselves in the assurance and constancy of your love. May we recognise our opportunities to act in loving service by considering new ways to reach out. May we embrace your healing touch as we are vigilant in respecting and following our health protocols. May we overcome our societal angst with expressions of grace, patience, and care.
We pray; Hear us Lord.
We pray for your world: remind us of the joys of the changing seasons; for warm days and cool nights, for raindrops and sunbeams, for mudpuddles and buzzing bugs. Remind us of our engagement with you in preserving and caring for this earth which sustains us. We ask for your healing touch for all people, animals, and all of creation, that we may work towards restoring the beautiful creation you have entrusted to us.
We pray; Hear us Lord.
We lift up our hearts, loving God, with joy and thanksgiving. We face today with a spirit of gratitude: for the blessings that we see, those we take for granted, and those we aren’t even aware of. We thank you for our families and friends, for our safety and well-being, and most of all for your great gift of love, given to us through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord.
We pray; Hear us Lord. Amen.
16 May
With the whole people of God, we raise our voices in prayer, saying, Hear us, risen Christ!
We pray for the church of all times and all places; for the ministries that we are called to today, and the opportunities before us in the days to come; for our leaders who assist us in proclaiming the Gospel in word and deed:
Hear us, risen Christ!
We pray for the well-being of creation; in this season of expectation for growth; in our responsibilities to care for all of God’s creatures; help us in our commitment to provide a healthy environment for generations to come:
Hear us, risen Christ!
We pray for peace in the world, as more than just an absence of conflict, and hold before you the peoples experiencing violence of any kind this day. We ask your blessing on the leaders of the nations, that they may guide us all to acts of justice and equality.
Hear us, risen Christ!
We pray for our community; the people in our neighbourhoods, and those we worship with. Fill our hearts with the joy of your Resurrection, that we engage everyone we meet with a spirit of kindness and compassion.
Hear us, risen Christ!
We pray for the victims of our society; the poor, the oppressed, the lonely. Help us to see those who are experiencing hunger, fear, and loneliness. Empower us to reach beyond our personal comfort and work to improve systems and structures that support us all.
Hear us, risen Christ!
We pray for those who are sick, ailing in body, mind, or spirit. We ask your refreshing energy for those who work in all areas of health care and support. Grant us patience as we do our part by complying with the protocols designed for our shared health and well-being.
Hear us, risen Christ!
We remember those who have died, and we pray for those who grieve and mourn; surround their hearts with the comfort of your Resurrection promise; inspire us to find ways to reach out to them.
Hear us, risen Christ!
We offer prayers of thanksgiving: for this day and every day, for the mercies and wonders you continually reveal to us, for the joys and blessings you unceasingly pour out in our lives. Renew within us a desire to open our eyes to the abundant gifts you share, and fuel a spirit of gratitude in our hearts.
Hear us, risen Christ!
We raise to you these prayers, and those stirring in the depths of our beings, knowing that you hear us, Lord, and that you answer us as is best for us. May all we do and bring you greater glory.
Hear us, risen Christ! Amen!

Come, Holy Spirit! Amen!
Trinity Sunday – 30 may
We raise our praises to the Triune God: The Father who creates; Jesus who redeems; and Spirit who inspires:
Holy God, you made us to be together in praise and prayer. You call us to live in unity and peace, to celebrate your presence and to proclaim your Good News to the world. Be with us, your church, as we strive to do your will in our lives and ministries.
Triune God, Hear our prayer.
You came as Word made flesh to gift us with your word of truth; fill us with that truth. Surround the leaders of the nations with your grace and wisdom, such that it will permeate their minds and hearts, and they will serve your people according to your will.
Triune God, Hear our prayer.
Breathe new life into our communities, that our relationships with you and with each other may reflect the new life that you have promised. Blow your fresh air into our communities, our neighbourhoods, our hearts. Inspire us to acts of faith and compassion, that where we live and work may show your love.
Triune God, Hear our prayer.
Artistic God, you moulded the cosmos as your masterpiece. You blessed us by including us on your earth. We pray for the world, that we will participate in actions of peace where there is discord; in advocacy where there is the silencing of voices; in care for non-humans where greed overrides environmental concerns. Create new hearts in us that we may truly delight in this world.
Triune God, Hear our prayer.
God of healing, soothe our souls in our distress. Bring health and wholeness to those who are sick in mind, body, or spirit. Refresh the exhausted, and empower the carers. Receive the dying, and embrace those who grieve. Relieve those who have reached their capacity, and encourage us all.
Triune God, Hear our prayer.
Spirit of God, who hovered excitedly over all of creation, engage us in your enthusiasm as we elaborate in gratitude and thanksgiving. Open our eyes to see the wonders around us, open our ears to the songs of creation, open our hearts to the glory of God that is ever-abundant in our midst.
Triune God, Hear our prayer. Amen.
God of all times and all places, we come to you today from our homes. We ask your blessing on this your church: the church that misses gathering together, the church that misses our comfortable pews, the church that misses the beauty of our shared worship space.
